Little Qualicum River Estuary Regional Conservation Area
Located at the mouth of the Little Qualicum River west of Qualicum Beach, this 4.6-hectare conservation area protects a rare estuarine sand spit and important habitat for marine life and waterfowl. As one of only three undeveloped estuarine sand spits along the east coast of Vancouver Island, the area plays a vital role in supporting local ecosystems. To help protect these sensitive habitats, public access to the spit itself is restricted, while the surrounding wildlife management area offers opportunities to experience the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of the estuary.
Dogs
Dogs are not permitted in this conservation area in order to protect critical marine and waterfowl habitat.
