To improve the condition of the field, field levelling and grass seeding will take place from October 5 to October 9. During this work, the park will be fully closed to the public to ensure public safety.

Construction work to connect newly drilled wells PW06, PW07 and PW09 to the River's Edge water system will begin on September 28, 2026, continuing to April 2027.

The Regional District of Nanaimo will be expanding the playground area at Maple Lane Community Park in the San Pareil neighbourhood of Electoral Area G. Construction is expected to begin on September 21 and be completed in the middle of October.

Infield improvement work is scheduled to begin on September 14, 2026, at Lions Community Park and is expected to take approximately one month to complete.

Ravensong Aquatic Centre in Qualicum Beach will be closed to the public for annual maintenance. The pool will be closed from August 22 through to September 13. The facility will re-open on Monday, September 14.

Water service in the Madrona, Wall Beach and Beachcomber areas of the Nanoose Bay Peninsula Water Service Area will be temporarily interrupted while water meters are being replaced from June 1 – August 7, 2026, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) Online Services portal (Vadim Open) will be temporarily unavailable to allow for scheduled maintenance.
